
Maintenance Technician
Overview
The Maintenance Team Member supports the daily operation of the manufacturing facility by keeping equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role works closely with production to complete preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on all plant equipment. Consistent adherence to safety, food-safety, and quality standards is required.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform preventative, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on production and non-production equipment.
· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and make effective repairs.
· Verify equipment performance after repairs and ensure work areas are clean and free of tools, parts, and debris.
· Complete required sanitation steps before returning equipment to service.
· Investigate CCP violations, identify root causes, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain proper storage, labeling, and handling of parts, chemicals, and lubricants in accordance with food-safety and personnel-safety standards.
· Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and follow-up items with production and maintenance leadership.
· Follow all maintenance SOPs and company safety procedures.
· Operate production equipment when necessary to support operations.
Qualifications
· Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Strong mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and technical documents.
· Understanding of lockout/tagout, food-safety practices, and safe work procedures.
· Basic computer skills for documentation and work order entry.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tight spaces as needed.
· Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy environments.
· Able to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts when required.
Schedule & Reporting
· Full-time position; schedule determined by facility needs.
· Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
